Daily reading of Al-Anon Conference Approved literature is highly recommended by sponsors everywhere as a valuable tool in Al-Anon/Alateen’s spiritually based program of recovery. There is literature available to support our personal recovery and our Al-Anon service.
Literature is a vital link in Al-Anon/Alateen service, carrying the message of recovery and unity through Al-Anon/Alateen Conference Approved Literature (CAL) to groups and each member.
Why is it important to read Conference Approved Literature (CAL)?
“Outside” literature may or may not convey the Al-Anon message. Using other materials in our meetings can lead to dissension and affect our groups’ unity; it can be particularly confusing to a newcomer.
